Director of Software Quality Engineering – Digital at Intuitive Surgical, where he has spent nearly two decades building and advancing quality systems and engineering strategies across Intuitive’s Digital product and services portfolio. This includes implementation of first paperless Non-MD 9001 based QMS. Led the transition from CSV to CSA, leveraging risk-based approaches to streamline compliance and reduce overhead while also driving Agile SDLC transformations. This shift empowered the digital business unit to accelerate software delivery, support continuous iteration, and capture market opportunities faster—driving innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage while maintaining patient safety and regulatory excellence. Prior to Intuitive, Zach spent over 7 years working in the IoT industry supporting various IT and SQA roles.
Currently Zach is focused on leading AI-driven quality engineering, exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance quality engineering efforts across the SDLC. His expertise spans software quality assurance/engineering, design validation and verification, agile project management, and test automation development.
Zach champions agile quality engineering methodologies and best practices, ensuring these approaches are effectively integrated throughout the Digital and broader organization.
