Venkatesh Srinivasan is the head of the MSAT Biotech team at Bayer, responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of Bayer’s commercial biologics portfolio including cell and gene therapies to ensure timely delivery of medicines to patients. His team supports the entire value chain from raw materials to finished drug product in a global network of internal and external manufacturing capabilities. The team is responsible for technical lifecycle management to support new product launches and post-approval changes. In addition, his team partners with development functions to develop new platform technologies and advance pipeline products through manufacturing process evolution culminating in the successful technology transfer into commercial manufacturing. Venkatesh has been in the biotech business for over 25 years and held many roles including leading process development, business development and intellectual property portfolio management. He was also a biotech entrepreneur.
