Dr. Kelly M. Forney-Stevens is an Associate Director of Drug Product Process & Formulation at Vir Biotechnology where she currently serves as the drug product formulation and process development lead for multiple therapeutic programs. Previously, Kelly has worked in drug product development at Amgen and GSK, as well as in regulatory CMC at Merck and Biogen, and as a chemistry reviewer in CDER at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Kelly has experiences with multiple modalities including high concentration protein therapeutics, complex drug products (including lipid nanoparticles), and devices. Kelly received her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut where she carried out her dissertation work focused on issues related to the amorphous/solid-state characterization, formulation, and process of lyophilized protein pharmaceuticals under Prof. Robin Bogner and Prof. Mike Pikal.
