Kathy Simon, PhD – Driven by her commitment to improving the quality of life of others, Kathy has been a noteworthy leader in the Biopharmaceutical industry. Joining Medicago in the spring of 2021, she is responsible for developing, leveraging, and advancing the laboratory capabilities and expertise to achieve the company’s mission. For over 23 years, she has led Quality, Regulatory, and Operations organizations in the areas of small molecules, large molecules and vaccines; transforming companies through negotiating regulatory issues worldwide, establishing and improving quality systems and procedures ensuring robust products and processes, and developing and implementing clinical and commercial manufacturing processes. She focuses on creating a culture of collaboration and empowerment. Kathy’s commitment to giving back continues in her private life.  She is active in several local non-profits and serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Triangle Nonprofit Volunteer and Leadership Center in Durham, NC.
