Louie Rayal joined GSK in 2023 as Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance.

Previously Louie served as Senior Director Quality, Regulatory and Compliance at Abbott IT from June 2020 to January of 2023 . During his time at Abbot Louie was  focused on helping IT transform its current Software Lifecycle Methodology (SLC) and supporting procedures to align with modern IT practices, including the implementation of Automated Testing Tools to meet the increasing business demands.

Prior to Abbott, Louie worked for Takeda, TAP, Baxter, and other Healthcare companies, with increasing levels of responsibilities. Louie has great experience working in global multi-cultural environment and managing global teams across various regions. This includes managing large scale IT initiatives, planning, and delivering global systems, process improvement and IT Governance initiatives to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the business.

Louie has presented at various conferences on the topics of Computer Software Assurance, Digital Transformation, and various quality and IT related topics.

Louie earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
